Cyborg Moths
Mothballs may not keep these critters away. From a report at Fox News, the military has been working on a cyborg moth. To be used as surveillance of terrorist camps, these insects are being "grown" by scientists in an attempt to create undetectable surveillance devices.
The cyborg moths are created when scientists implant a computer chip in the moth's while they are in the pupae stage. The moth then continues to develop or grow around the computer chip, thus becoming a "cyborg", the term used in science fiction movies for robots that are covered with real flesh.
The robotics project is one of the most ambitious ever taken on by the Department of Defense.

Of course, for us lay persons in need of some surveillance devices we can just go to Spy Associates for whatever we need. No mothballs required.
